Our story

It all began with my wedding, a day that would mark a new chapter, in more ways than one. I had ordered my ring, but just days before the big day, I was told that it wouldn’t arrive in time. This left me with no choice but to take matters into my own hands. In that moment, I decided to take control. I decided to challenge myself and really do something special by personally handcrafting my own wedding ring. Knowing I had the skills (having worked in precision engineering for over 25 years) I headed out to my shed to dust off my lathe and see what I could do.. It wasn’t just about making a ring anymore. As I worked, I felt something shift. What began as a solution to a problem became something I didn’t want to stop...

I had discovered a talent I never knew existed. The first ring I made wasn’t just a piece of jewelry; it was the start of something much bigger. I found myself captivated by the craftsmanship, the precision, and the personal connection that comes with creating something from scratch.

That passion eventually grew into Shire Rings. What started as a necessity soon turned into an obsession for perfection. Every handcrafted ring I create now is a reflection of that moment, a commitment to quality, to detail, and to crafting something that’s uniquely yours.
