Return and Refund Policy

At Shire Rings, every ring is crafted with care and attention to detail. Many of our rings are made to order or created to a customer’s chosen specifications.

Made-to-order and personalised rings

Where a ring has been made to your specifications or clearly personalised—for example, through your choice of size, width, materials, inlay, finish or engraving—the usual change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply.

Please check all details carefully before placing your order. If you wish to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to help if work has not begun and materials have not been ordered, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Ring sizing

Customers are responsible for providing the correct ring size when ordering. We strongly recommend using our ring-sizing service before production begins.

If a ring is made to the size ordered but does not fit, this is not considered a manufacturing fault. Resizing may be possible depending on the ring’s materials and construction and may involve an additional charge. If we make a ring in a size different from the size ordered, we will correct it at no cost to you.

Non-personalised items

For eligible non-personalised items purchased online, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. You must then return the item within a further 14 days.

Items must be returned unworn, unused and in their original condition. You are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described. We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, as you remain responsible for the item until it reaches us.

We may make a reasonable deduction from the refund if an item has been handled more than necessary to inspect it.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described or is different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible through the Contact page at shirerings.com. Include your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where possible.

We will assess the issue and offer an appropriate repair, replacement or refund in accordance with your legal rights. We will cover reasonable return costs where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrect.

Natural materials and handmade variations

Our rings are individually handcrafted. Natural and patterned materials—including wood, stone, opal, carbon fibre and Damascus steel—may vary in colour, grain and pattern. Small variations make each ring unique and are not normally considered faults.

Damage caused by accidents, misuse, chemicals, excessive heat, prolonged immersion, normal wear and tear or alteration by another jeweller is not considered a manufacturing fault.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method. Please allow up to 14 days for the refund to be processed after we receive the returned item or evidence that it has been sent back, as applicable. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the refund.
